7 Degree House

INTERIOR       EXTERIOR      OBJECTS

The typical terrace house typology often translates to a long and deep plan with inward-looking spaces. To invert this relationship between the inside and the outside, 7 Degree House is conceived with a cavernous void punctured through its centre.

The void divides the house into two halves, with split levels planned between the front and the back. Through the split levels, each area of the house is subtly differentiated and accorded a sense of privacy. The inserted void effectively brings daylight in, with shadows cast on the faceted atrium walls further enlivening the space within.
