Paddy Hills

Paddy Hills is a cafe at the foot of the western ridges of Singapore. Taking up the ground floor of a corner shophouse, it is a space that is centred around good coffee, great food and great company. Building on the existing characteristics of the existing site, familiar elements of a cafe are applied but given a twist, with a base palette of cement, brick and reclaimed timber, juxtaposed with sumptuous blocks of colours and textures. A long island coffee counter anchors the space, clad in tiles with an eye-catching hue of emerald green, complemented with a brushed brass top. Patrons are all seated around the counter with full view of the baristas in action, making various types of coffees and beverages. Further back from the coffee counter lies the kitchen which is clad in a blue-stained ash veneer. A brass clad hatch punctures through the kitchen wall to allow for a glimpse of the delicious food being prepare. Touches of colour and pattern are applied throughout the space for the patron to discover and enjoy, softened with lush ferns and plants placed around the cafe. The experience at Paddy Hills is one that that amuses the senses of sight, sound, touch, smell and taste.
